IgE Respiratory Allergies (Type 1 Allergy)
An exclusive specialty
We can screen for most known allergens.
We can screen for most known allergens. From a single blood sample, we can now determine the element or combination of elements to which an individual has developed an allergy— animal fur, dust, acarids, tree, grass or weed pollens, mold and other allergens.
Our reliable, highly effective method of analysis is the only one recognized by the USFDA.
In most cases of allergies to inhalants, immunotherapy treatment can reduce and control allergy symptoms. We use Phadia ImmunoCAP technology for our analyses.
For the pediatrics: It should be noted that we can perform testing for allergies from birth of the child.
While hereditary factors play an important role in the allergic mechanism, environmental factors are a key factor in the appearance of clinical signs. When we think of air pollution, we usually think of smog, acid rain, CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons), and other kinds of outdoor air pollution. But did you know that air pollution can occur inside our homes and at work? Every year, large numbers of people are affected by airborne chemical particles and substances found outside in rural areas and in cities and even inside buildings.
Recent studies have shown that we spend close to 90% of our time inside buildings or vehicles. While we may think that we are protected from air pollution, this impression is false. The air we breathe at home, at work and in our cars is much more polluted than the air outside! Known as “Sick Building Syndrome”, cases of headaches, eczema, sleep disorders, rhinitis, allergies, asthma and even cancers have never reached such an alarming level.
